Ever since I looked at a profile picture (side view of my face) I took of myself, it seems like the image is stuck in my vision I can see a clear view of it, it's kind of hard to explain how I see it, its as if the picture is made of water that's what I mean by clear. I keep seeing this same picture in my vision or when I look at designs on TV. I've asked my Psychiatrist about this she said at first it was visual hallucinations, but the second time I asked her she said she doesn't know what it is. Well, I've asked some others and they say I may have burned the image onto my retina, still kind of curious though. Is this normal? Anyone ever experience or hear or know anything about this? Thanks.

Clinically, I have only run across palinopsia with patients with cortical lobe lesions.
I would chalk the OP to being hyper aware and get over it.

my image has been stuck in my head for about 2 years now, it seems like palinosia, and a negative image cuz its been 2 years, is it normal for the pic to stay in the vision for 2 years???
